How to connect Moniepoint POS Terminal to BrandDrive 1

Many businesses already have systems they use every day to receive payments. For some, it is a Moniepoint POS terminal; for others, it may be another payment solution that their staff and customers are already familiar with.

While BrandDrive comes with its own Point of Sale system, moving an entire business from one workflow to another overnight is not always practical. So, rather than forcing businesses to abandon tools that already work for them, BrandDrive lets you integrate specific external systems into your operations.

This means you can continue using the tools you are already comfortable with while still benefiting from BrandDrive’s reporting, bookkeeping, and business management capabilities.

For example, if your business uses Moniepoint to process payments, you can connect it to BrandDrive so that transaction information flows into your business records more efficiently. This helps reduce manual record-keeping, improves visibility into your transactions, and gives you a more complete picture of your business performance.

In this section, you’ll learn how to connect your Moniepoint account to BrandDrive.

Step 1: Log in to Your Moniepoint Account

– Go to your Moniepoint Business Dashboard.

– Sign in with your business account details.

– Click on the settings icon

Step 2: Open Settings

After successfully logging in, locate the navigation menu on the left side of your dashboard.

– On your dashboard, click the ⚙ Settings icon.

– Select POS Terminal Configuration.

Go to POS Terminal Features.

Make sure ERP integration is turned ON.

Click Apply Changes to save.

Step 3: Generate API Keys

The API key allows BrandDrive and Moniepoint to communicate securely.

Return to the Settings menu and select POS Apps Developer.

– Go to API Keys.

– Click New API Key.

Fill in:

             – API Key Name – Any name you’ll remember (e.g., “BrandDrive Connection”).

             – API Key Type – Select General.

             – API Key Duration – Choose how long it should last (e.g., 1 year).

– Click Proceed.

– Tick all the businesses you want connected.

– Under API Key Environment, select Production.

– On the Permissions page, turn ON all permissions.

– Click Create.

After selecting the required permissions and clicking Generate New API Key.

A confirmation message stating “API Key Generated Successfully” will appear.

Copy the API Key shown — paste it into your BrandDrive integration page before you close the window (you won’t be able to see it again).

Important: Treat your API key like a password. Do not share it publicly or with unauthorized individuals.

Step 4: Configure Webhooks

Webhooks allow Moniepoint to automatically notify BrandDrive whenever selected transactions occur.

– Go back to POS Apps Developer.

– Click Webhooks.

– Click New Subscription.

– Paste the Webhook URL from your BrandDrive page.

– Under Transaction Types, select:

          – Withdrawal

          – Transfer

          – POS Transfers

– Click Submit.

After clicking on submit, Moniepoint will process the configuration and create the subscription.

Once completed, you will see a “Subscription Created Successfully” notification.

You can then click Close or select Get API Secret if required for the next stage of your integration setup.

STEP 5: Get API Secret

– In the Webhooks section, click Get API Secret.

– Copy the code shown.

– Paste it into the correct space in your BrandDrive integration page.

– Click I Have Copied It.

What Happens After Integration?

Once your Moniepoint integration is successfully configured, BrandDrive can receive transaction notifications from your Moniepoint account and use that information to improve your financial records and reporting.

This helps reduce manual record keeping, improves transaction visibility, and gives you a more complete picture of your business finances within BrandDrive.

If you experience any issues during setup, contact the BrandDrive support team for assistance before proceeding with live transactions.
