Getting Started

Understanding Your Dashboard

Your dashboard gives an overview about the financial health of your business like your net profit for the month, total revenue made, total expenses, number of sales you’ve made this month, invoice overdue and so many more.

When you first log into BrandDrive, you land on your Dashboard. By simply clicking on any particular financial metric on your dashboard, you’ll be taken to a more detailed report. For example, clicking on “Total Sales” shows you a breakdown of the amount, the day, month, and revenue source.
Unlike traditional accounting software that buries important information in complex menus, BrandDrive brings everything forward so you can make decisions quickly.

What Your Dashboard Shows You

At the top of your dashboard, you’ll see key financial metrics displayed prominently:

Key Financial Metrics

Revenue Summary

At the top right of your dashboard, you’ll see a large Revenue Summary section displaying your total revenue for the selected period
Below that is a beautiful line graph showing your revenue trend over time:

– Week 1

– Week 2

– Week 3

– Week 4

– Week 5

This visual makes it instantly clear whether your business is growing, declining, or staying flat.

To dig deeper, hover your mouse to anywhere on the Revenue Summary to see the total amount generated from:

– Invoices

– Point of sales

– Online shop

– Website

Profit and Loss

On the left side of your dashboard, you’ll see the Profit and loss metric:
Below that, you’ll see:

– The percentage of profit growth increased from last month (in green text)

– A bar chart comparing:

1. Loss (lighter blue bar)

2. Revenue (darker blue bar)

This shows your actual earnings which is the money you get to keep after all expenses. BrandDrive calculates this automatically by subtracting your total expenses from your total sales.
This is important because it shows how your business is performing by just looking at it. It helps you make better business decisions.

The bar chart comparison helps you visualize:

1.When revenue is high but profit is low (expenses too high)

2. When both are growing together (healthy business)

3. When profit margins are improving (good cost control)

Hover your mouse on the Profit and loss chart to see:

– Detailed expense breakdowns

Expense Summary

On the right side, you’ll see Expense Summary:
Below that is a line graph showing your expense trend:
This includes:

– The total purchases made in that duration and that includes :Inventory purchases i.e.cost of goods, Operational expenses i.e. rent, utilities, salaries, Vendor payments, Other business costs you’ve recorded)

Tracking expenses is important because you can’t understand profitability without tracking expenses. This visibility helps you:

1. Spot unusual spikes

2. Identify cost-cutting opportunities

3. Plan cash flow (know when big expenses are coming)

4. Stay within budget

Hover on expense summary to see:

– The total breakdown on the expenses you’ve made for that particular period

Quick Access Navigation

At the middle of your dashboard, you’ll see large, easy-to-click buttons for your most common tasks:
