Getting Started

Customising BrandDrive for Your Business

Before you dive into recording sales and managing inventory, it's worth taking a few minutes to customize BrandDrive to match your business needs. These settings control how invoices look, how your brand appears, and how professional you come across to customers.

Invoice Branding: Make It Yours

Your invoices are often the last thing your customers see from you, so they should look professional and on-brand. A well-designed invoice builds trust and makes your business memorable. BrandDrive offers several ways to customize your invoices so they don't look plain and boring. Here's how to make them uniquely yours:

Step 1: Access Business Settings

Click on your business name at the top left corner of the page. A dropdown menu appears.
Click on “Business Settings” from the menu.

Step 2: Navigate to Templates

Once you’re in Business Settings, you’ll see a left sidebar with several options:

– Overview

– Users & Permissions

– Branches & Outlets

– Billing & Subscriptions

– Import Data

– Templates ← Click here

– Loyalty & Cashback

– Add ons

– Business Affiliate

– API & Integrations

Click on “Templates” to access your invoice customization options.

Step 3: Customize Your Brand Identity

On the Templates page, you’ll see a section called “Brand Identity” with three customization options:

Brand Logo
This is where you upload your business logo that will appear on every invoice.

Click “Change image” to upload a new logo

Or click “Remove image” if you want to remove your current logo

Tip: Use a clear, high-quality logo (PNG or JPG format works best). A square logo (500×500 pixels) usually displays perfectly.

Brand Colour
Your brand color appears as an accent throughout your invoice template, giving it a professional, branded look.
You’ll see a color field showing a hex code (in the example, it’s #3a9259 – a green color).

Click on the color box to open a color picker

Choose your brand’s primary color

Or enter your brand’s exact hex code if you know it

Remember: Consistent branding across all customer touchpoints (invoices, receipts, your shop) makes your business look established and trustworthy.

Footer Note
Add a friendly message that appears at the bottom of every invoice.
Common examples:

“Thank you for your patronage” (as shown in the example)

“Thank you for your business!”

“We appreciate your support.”

“For inquiries, call us at [your phone number].”

You can also use this space for:

Return/refund policies

Payment instructions

Social media handles

Website URL

Keep it short and friendly!

Step 4: Choose Your Invoice Template

Scroll down to the “Manage Invoice Template” section. Here you’ll see a range of pre-designed templates to choose from.

BrandDrive offers three professional templates:

– Bifrost: Clean and minimal with a white background. Professional and straightforward.

– Veda: Modern design with subtle styling. Good balance between professional and friendly.

– Loki: Features your brand color prominently on the left side. Bold and eye-catching.
To preview and select a template:

1. Click “Preview & Select Template” in the top right corner

2. Browse through the available templates

3. Click on any template to see how it looks with your actual business data

4. Once you find one you like, select it

Tip: Choose a template that matches your business personality:

– If you are a traditional business, go with Bifrost’s clean look

– If you are a Modern/tech business, you might want to try Veda’s contemporary design

– If you are a Bold/creative business, Loki’s colorful design makes a statement

Your choice will apply to all invoices moving forward (you can change it anytime).

Step 5: Save Your Customization

Once you’ve:

– Uploaded your logo

– Set your brand color

– Written your footer note

– Chosen your template

Your invoice branding is complete!

Every invoice you create from now on will automatically use this professional, branded design. Your customers will see your logo, your colors, and your message on every invoice they receive.

If you want to change it later, no problem. Come back to Business Settings > Templates anytime to:

– Update your logo

– Change your brand color

– Edit your footer message

– Switch to a different template

What’s Next?
Now that your invoices look professional and branded, you can move on to setting up other important preferences like tax settings, currency options, and notification preferences (covered in the next sections).
